PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
Sit back for a relaxing journey into passenger railroad's glorious past onboard the Summertime Train! Our vintage train cars are from the golden era of rail travel, built in the '30s, '40s and '50s, and fully restored for your enjoyment. On board the train, your 44 mile journey spans the South San Gabriel River where you enjoy views of the Bertram Depot, Short Creek Canyon, the wooden trestle bridge over the San Gabriel, and the Duffy-Shamrock communications mast-one of the tallest structures in the world!

All cars are pulled by a diesel locomotive. This ride is 2.5 hours round trip with no layover. SCHEDULE: Departs 10:00 AM, Returns 12:30pm. Due to the unique nature of our non-profit railroad operations, there are no refunds.

ASTA has implemented temporary changes to our service, designed to promote public health, and to adhere to guidelines by local authorities. For all rides in June, tickets will be sold as general admission, and our team will assign seats to assure physical distancing. Parties who would like to sit together must reserve together. Lounge car passengers may be placed in private compartments. Masks are required.
